We summarise data using the mean, mode and median.
Mean = total ÷ number of values. Mode = the most frequent value. Median = the middle value when the data is ordered. For 2, 4, 6: mean $= 4$ and median $= 4$.

- Mean = add up ÷ how many · Mode = most common · Median = middle.
- Order the data before finding the median.
