What is a laboratory?
A laboratory (lab) is a special room designed for carrying out scientific experiments. It has strong benches, water taps, gas taps and good ventilation. Because a lab contains chemicals, glassware and heat sources, you must always follow the safety rules to protect yourself and others.
Common apparatus
You will use many pieces of apparatus (equipment) in the lab. Learning their names and uses helps you work correctly.
