The Solar System is the Sun and the objects that orbit it.
Eight planets orbit the Sun in order: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. The four inner planets are small and rocky; the four outer planets are large gas giants. Many planets have moons.
