A scale drawing shows a real object smaller (or larger) but in the same proportions.
A scale of 1 : 100 means 1 unit on the drawing represents 100 real units. If a scale is 1 cm : 2 m, then a 5 cm line represents $5 \times 2 = 10$ m.
Remember
- Real length = drawing length × scale factor.
- Keep the units consistent.
