1 m = 100 cm, 1 kg = 1000 g, and 1 L = 1000 mL. So 2 m = 200 cm, and 500 g + 500 g = 1000 g = 1 kg.

Remember

  • 1 m = 100 cm · 1 kg = 1000 g · 1 L = 1000 mL.
  • Bigger unit → smaller unit: multiply.
