Where do babies come from?
Humans reproduce by having babies. A mother and a father have a baby, and this is how new people join our family. Babies are small and need lots of love and care to stay healthy and happy.
Key idea
Humans grow in stages: baby, child, teenager, then adult. As we grow, we get taller and heavier.
Growing up
A tiny baby drinks milk and is cared for by parents. It grows into a child who can walk, talk and play. Later a child becomes a teenager, and then a grown-up adult. Along the way we learn many new things, like reading, writing and cycling. Eating good food and sleeping well help us grow.
Example
Look at your baby photo and a photo of you now. You have grown taller and can do so much more!
Remember
- The first stage is a baby.
- We grow taller and heavier.
- The last stage is an adult.
