A day has 24 hours. We can write time in the 24-hour system.
In 24-hour time, 12:00 noon is 1200, and afternoon hours add 12 (2 pm = 1400). Also 60 seconds = 1 minute and 60 minutes = 1 hour.
Remember
- 24 hours in a day; 60 minutes in an hour; 60 seconds in a minute.
- Afternoon in 24-hour time: add 12 to the hour.
