Income, spending and savings
Income is the money you get (pocket money, gifts). Expenses is money you spend. What is left is your savings.
Key idea / 要点
Income − Expenses = Savings
Making a simple budget
A budget is a plan for your money. A good habit is to spend less than you earn and save a little every time.
Worked example / 例题
Aida gets RM50 pocket money and spends RM30.
Savings = RM50 − RM30 = RM20.
If she saves RM20 each month, after 3 months she has RM20 × 3 = RM60.
Remember / 记住
- Save first, spend later.
- Keep money for future needs.
- Small savings add up over time.
