Sara has RM20. She buys a book for RM12 and a pen for RM3. How much is left?
Plan: add costs, then subtract from RM20.
RM12 + RM3 = RM15; RM20 − RM15 = RM5.

3 friends share RM60 equally. How much each?
Plan: divide. RM60 ÷ 3 = RM20 each.
Remember / 记住
- Look for words like 'each', 'total', 'left', 'change'.
- 'Each' or 'share' often means × or ÷.
- Always check your answer.
