Needs and wants
A need is something you must have to live, like food, water and clothes. A want is something nice but not necessary, like a new toy or sweets.
Key idea / 要点
Pay for needs first, then wants — only if you still have money.
Making wise choices
A responsible spender compares prices, pays for what they buy, and saves part of their money. If something costs more than you have, save up first instead of borrowing.
Worked example / 例题
You have RM12 and want a RM30 toy. The wise choice is to save more before buying, not to borrow money you cannot repay.
Remember / 记住
- Needs come before wants.
- Compare prices before you buy.
- Save a little every time.
