Great people of Melaka
The Melaka Malay Sultanate is remembered for its many famous figures (tokoh terbilang). These were brave, clever and loyal people who helped make Melaka great.
Some famous figures
- Tun Perak — the most famous Bendahara (chief minister) of Melaka. He was wise and a strong leader.
- Hang Tuah — the loyal Laksamana (admiral), known as Melaka's greatest warrior.
- Hang Jebat, Hang Kasturi, Hang Lekir and Hang Lekiu — Hang Tuah's brave warrior friends.
- Tun Fatimah — a brave and clever noblewoman of Melaka.
These figures showed courage, loyalty and wisdom. We still tell their stories today.
