What did they do for Melaka?
The famous figures of Melaka were not just remembered for who they were, but for the important roles they played. Each one helped Melaka grow strong and safe.
Tun Perak's role
As Bendahara, Tun Perak was the Sultan's top adviser. He led Melaka's warriors and defended the city from Siam (Siamese attacks). He also helped Melaka win new lands, making the kingdom bigger and stronger.
Hang Tuah's role
As Laksamana, Hang Tuah protected the Sultan and led the navy. He was a skilful diplomat too, travelling to other countries as Melaka's envoy. He is famous for his loyalty.
