What was the Ice Age?
The Ice Age (Zaman Air Batu) was a very long, cold time in Earth's past. Huge sheets of ice covered many lands, and the sea was much lower than today. The last Ice Age ended about 10,000 years ago.
How things changed
As the Earth grew warmer, the great sheets of ice slowly melted. The melted water flowed into the oceans, so the sea level rose. Low, flat land that was once dry became covered by the sea.
