Who was Tun Perak?
Tun Perak was one of the greatest leaders in the history of Melaka. Before he became famous, he was the penghulu (village chief) of Kelang. People saw that he was wise, brave and loyal.
The great Bendahara
Because of his talent, Tun Perak was chosen to be the Bendahara of Melaka. A Bendahara was like a chief minister who advised the sultan and helped run the kingdom.
Tun Perak served four different sultans of Melaka. He worked hard for the kingdom for many years and died around 1498. Today he is remembered as one of the greatest Bendahara ever.
