We find the area of squares and rectangles, and work with angles.
Area of a rectangle = length × width, measured in square units (cm²). A rectangle 6 cm by 4 cm has area 6 × 4 = 24 cm². Angles on a straight line add up to 180°.
Remember
- Area of a rectangle = length × width (in cm²).
- Straight line = 180° · Right angle = 90°.
