The motto of Malaysia
Below the shield of the Jata Negara is a banner with the words Bersekutu Bertambah Mutu. This is our national motto. In English it means Unity Is Strength.
What it teaches us
The word bersekutu means joined together or united. The motto tells us that when the people of Malaysia work together, the country becomes stronger and better. It is written in both Rumi (our normal letters) and Jawi script on the banner.
