Tenses Review

Revising present, past and future tenses and their uses.

Present and past

  • Simple present: habits – She walks to school.
  • Present continuous: now – She is walking.
  • Simple past: finished – She walked.

Future

  • will + base verb: I will call you.
  • be going to for plans: I am going to study.

Key idea

Each tense has its use: simple present for habits, continuous for now, simple past for finished actions, will/going to for the future.

Remember

Use time words (now, yesterday, tomorrow) to choose the right tense.
