Present Continuous Tense

Showing an action happening now using is/are + verb-ing.

Form

  • am/is/are + verb + -ing.
  • I am reading. She is singing. They are playing.

When to use

  • For actions happening now.
  • Right now, the baby is sleeping.

Key idea

Use is/am/are + verb-ing for actions happening now: She is running.

Remember

Use 'am' with I, 'is' with he/she/it, and 'are' with you/we/they.
