Agreement
- A singular subject takes a singular verb (adds -s): The bird sings.
- A plural subject takes a plural verb (no -s): The birds sing.
- 'I' and 'you' use the base verb: I sing, you sing.

The verb must agree with the subject: singular subjects add -s (bird sings), plural subjects do not (birds sing).
