Subject, object and possessive pronouns.

Types of pronouns

  • Subject: I, you, he, she, it, we, they.
  • Object: me, you, him, her, it, us, them.
  • Possessive: mine, yours, his, hers, ours, theirs.

Examples

  • This book is mine.
  • The teacher praised them.

Key idea

Pronouns can be subject (she), object (her) or possessive (hers).

Remember

Possessive pronouns show ownership and have no apostrophe: hers, not her's.
