Comparative and superlative

  • Short words: add -er/-est – tall, taller, tallest.
  • Long words: use more/most – careful, more careful, most careful.

Irregular forms

  • good → better → best; bad → worse → worst.

Use -er/-est for short adjectives and more/most for long ones; some are irregular (good/better/best).

Remember

Use 'than' with comparatives: taller than.
